Ventura County Homeschool Support Groups & PSP's
The most important thing for homeschool success is to surround yourself with like-minded
people who share information and resources, answer your questions, and ease your concerns.
Your local Homeschool Support Group is where you can get connected with other homeschooling
families. To find a Homeschool Support Group near you, simply click on the county where you
reside from the list below.
IMPORTANT:
This directory is divided into two sections. The first section lists Homeschool Support
Groups, and the second section lists Private School Satellite Programs or PSPs (formerly
called "ISPs").
What's the difference?
In general, Homeschool Support Groups are gatherings of homeschool families who get together
for park days and may also organize some field trips and co-op classes. (Some of these groups
require a small membership fee, most do not.)
PSPs are small private schools. Homeschool families enroll (paying a tuition fee) to receive
administrative support; such as record keeping, transcripts and testing.
We provide listings for Support Groups for free. We charge a small fee to list PSPs.

Association of Christian Home Educators of Ventura County [ACHEV] - A non-profit, non-denominational organization of Christian home schooling families. Conejo Valley Christian Homeschoolers - CVCH offers park days, social opportunities and support to create an environment that builds relationships and community, and help with homeschooling endeavors. Conejo Valley Homeschoolers - A secular group offering socialization opportunities through park days, classes, theater tickets, drama programs and field trips. Innovative Homeschool Support Group [IHSG] - IHSG is an inclusive, eclectic support group dedicated to providing meaningful experiences for our children and support for one another in life's marvelous adventure. Santa Susana Homeschool Community [SSHC] - We are an inclusive homeschool support group, comprised of homeschooling families of all descriptions. Special Needs Teens and Tweens - Focused on Teens and Tweens with Differences in Ventura, Santa Barbara, and West LA Counties who Homeschool but open to all. Includes medical diagnoses, sensory issues and/or learning issues.

Inclusive, secular, eclectic support group for parents/caregivers who are homeschooling children of all ages from birth on, or those exploring the possibility for now or future. It's never too early to start creating community! Activities are member-generated (park days, field trips, etc.), and we welcome a wide spectrum of homeschooling philosophies. Ventura County Home Learners - Information clearinghouse for current, prospective, and seasoned families of homeschoolers, unschoolers, and independent study learners of all homeschooling philosophies in Ventura County. There are no group-specific activities nor is there onlist discussion, only announcements of events, classes, resources, and activities of interest to area homeschoolers.
